Make-Ready Specialist – The Janis

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Make-Ready Specialist to prepare vacant apartment units for new residents. The role focuses on completing repairs, improvements, and cleaning tasks to ensure each unit meets the company’s quality standards before re‑leasing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all required repairs and improvements according to the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers as needed.
• Inspect and repair or replace damaged sheetrock.
• Apply touch‑up paint to vacant and occupied units under supervision.
• Maintain common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Document completion of checklists and maintenance work promptly.
• Follow safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, and complete required OSHA training.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answer questions, and address maintenance complaints efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Willingness to follow established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Customer‑service orientation with respectful communication.
