Locum Gastroenterology Physician (Outpatient & Inpatient)

About the role

CompHealth is seeking a board‑certified Gastroenterology physician to work as a locum in an outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital setting. The assignment runs Monday‑Friday with 10‑hour shifts and includes night call responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage 20‑30 patients per shift in both outpatient and inpatient environments.
• Perform advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, colonoscopy and upper endoscopy.
• Respond to beeper calls within 30 minutes and handle an average of two callbacks per week.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure quality patient care during night call periods.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or eligible Gastroenterology physician.
• Willingness to work 10‑hour daytime shifts Monday‑Friday with night call.
• Ability to handle a high patient volume (20‑30 per shift).
