Leasing Professional – Residential Community

About the role

The Leasing Professional will drive occupancy, revenue, and resident retention for a Greystar community in Mount Prospect. You will manage the full leasing cycle, from prospect outreach to move‑in, while ensuring a high‑quality resident experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, and show apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit screening and criminal background checks.
• Prepare lease agreements, move‑in packages, and oversee smooth resident move‑ins.
• Inspect units before move‑in and coordinate any maintenance needs.
• Monitor market and competitor conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply concessions or specials as needed.
• Design and execute marketing activities, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record leasing activity, and manage prospect and resident data.

Required profile

• Proven ability to perform sales and leasing activities to meet occupancy and revenue goals.
• Strong attention to detail for unit inspections and move‑in readiness.
• Awareness of local market trends and competitor activity.
• Capability to develop and implement marketing strategies.

Required skills

• Experience with property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Familiarity with internet marketing tools (Craigslist, Facebook, email platforms).
• Ability to conduct credit screening and background checks.
