Lead Maintenance Technician – Avana West Park

About the role

Lead Maintenance Technician for Avana West Park, responsible for ensuring the property’s buildings, grounds, and amenities meet Greystar’s standards of safety, cleanliness, and functionality. The role involves handling resident service requests, overseeing make‑ready processes, and supporting overall property upkeep.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing defects in accordance with policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Perform the make‑ready process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors, obtaining supplies, completing maintenance tasks, and inspecting finished work.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment by tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
• Comply with Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attending routine safety meetings and adhering to all safety protocols.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading maintenance operations in residential or commercial property settings.
• Strong ability to diagnose and repair building systems and mechanical issues.
• Experience coordinating vendors and managing make‑ready processes.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety standards and proactive participation in safety programs.
