Journeyman Information Security Analyst

About the role

Join CGI’s effort to support the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) on a strategic, one‑year contract. The position can be based in any CGI U.S. office, with a preference for Lafayette, Louisiana, and follows a hybrid working model. U.S. citizenship is required due to government regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical security controls assessments and risk analyses for IRS information systems using NIST, FISMA, OMB, FedRAMP, Treasury and Internal Revenue Manual (IRM) guidelines.
• Identify and document vulnerabilities and risks across deployed and upcoming systems.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise to build trusted relationships with IRS stakeholders and help expand CGI’s footprint.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of progressive experience in information security, cyber‑risk management or IT security operations.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on system security analysis, vulnerability management or incident response in a Federal environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
• Security+ CE certification (required) and U.S. citizenship.

Required skills
