About the role

The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs is seeking a motivated intern to support the monitoring and evaluation of its programmes. The role will focus on the development and maintenance of “Cidy”, a Copilot Studio multi‑agent system that streamlines internal processes and provides administrative support to clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and document the multi‑agent architecture, including roles, tools, handoffs and guardrails.
  • Build agent topics, prompts and actions, and integrate them with permitted internal data sources.
  • Develop and execute test plans for functional, regression and safety testing.
  • Collect, clean, structure and version knowledge content, defining taxonomy and metadata.
  • Support deployment activities such as environment configuration, release notes and user guidance.
  • Monitor adoption, capture feedback and iterate on the solution.
  • Triage issues post‑deployment, tune prompts, update knowledge sources and track performance metrics.

Required profile

  • Enrolled in or completed a graduate programme, or in the final year of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of French or another UN language is an advantage.
  • Strong academic background in a field related to programme monitoring, evaluation or information management.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams.
