General Maintenance Technician

About the role

Balls Foods is seeking a dependable General Maintenance Technician I to support safe and reliable store operations across multiple locations. Based in the Support Office, you will respond quickly to service requests, perform repairs, and ensure equipment uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on store equipment, fixtures, and building systems.
• Respond to internal service requests through the CMMS using mobile devices and prioritize work orders.
• Identify, inspect, test, and resolve maintenance issues across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and equipment domains.
• Document work performed, parts used, labor time, and status updates in real time within the CMMS.
• Travel to store locations to assess and complete repairs, minimizing operational disruption.
• Execute minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and equipment repairs and adjustments.
• Operate ladders, lifts, and basic material‑handling equipment safely.
• Maintain store appearance through upkeep of physical spaces and equipment.

Required profile

• Dependable and responsive with a strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to work safely in active store environments and follow OSHA standards.
• Effective communication with store teams, leadership, and vendors.

Required skills

• Basic electrical work (lighting, outlets, switches).
• Basic plumbing (fixtures, clogs, minor leaks).
• Carpentry (fixtures, shelving, doors).
• Equipment repair and adjustments.
• CMMS usage on iPad, tablet, or laptop.
• Hand and power tool operation.
