Finance Manager

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Finance Manager to act as a strategic finance partner for a Vice President within one of its Americas operating units. The role blends financial leadership with business partnering to drive performance, support planning, and improve financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports and analyses for finance stakeholders and operations partners.
• Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, consolidating inputs and ensuring accuracy of submissions.
• Maintain accurate revenue recognition, cost accruals, and overhead allocations for assigned business units.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models, ad‑hoc analyses, and predictive forecasts to inform data‑driven decisions.
• Partner with operations to monitor and improve working‑capital metrics, including days sales outstanding (DSO).
• Assist with project reporting, margin analysis, and compliance with company policies.
• Identify risks and opportunities across project portfolios and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Standardize, simplify, and automate key finance processes using Jacobs’ tools and systems.

Required profile

• Motivated finance professional with strong analytical and technical aptitude.
• Proven ability to act as a strategic partner to senior leadership and communicate insights effectively.
• Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Demonstrated track record of improving finance processes and implementing automation.
• Comfortable working in a remote setting while aligning with a U.S. or Canadian office.
