Field Worker – Christmas Tree & Nursery Production

About the role

This position involves hands‑on field work supporting Christmas tree and nursery production in Mossyrock, WA. The successful candidate will work outdoors performing a variety of manual tasks to prepare, plant, maintain, and harvest trees and seedlings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fields by removing sticks, stumps and burning debris.
• Plant trees manually using shovels and apply fertilizer, lime, pesticides and fungicides.
• Perform hand pruning, knife shearing, tipping, tying, and basal pruning using ladders or stilts.
• Remove weeds with hand tools or power equipment.
• Harvest trees: cut, move, bale, wrap, and sling bundles for helicopter removal or truck loading.
• Transplant and lift seedlings, pack and move nursery plants.
• Handle irrigation pipe installation, potting, fertilizing, and weed‑killer application.
• Prune blueberry plants and keep the field or nursery yard clean.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Experience with manual agricultural or horticultural tasks is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures when using ladders, stilts, and power tools.
