EKG Technician - Cardiology Clinic

About the role

The Cardiology Clinic at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an EKG Technician to join its clinical staff. This full‑time, onsite position supports patient care by performing electrocardiograms and ensuring accurate documentation of cardiac data.

Key responsibilities

• Perform 12‑lead and bedside EKGs on patients according to clinical protocols.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety during testing.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot EKG equipment to guarantee reliable results.
• Accurately record and transmit EKG findings to cardiology physicians and nursing staff.
• Assist with patient flow in the cardiology clinic and coordinate with other clinical team members.

Required profile

• Current employee of the University of Arkansas System (including student employees and graduate assistants) eligible to work in the United States.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical guidelines.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare staff.
