Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Whippany, New Jersey. The role operates in a hybrid model and focuses on protecting our banking network from cyber threats through proactive monitoring, detection, and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Manage security monitoring tools, including intrusion prevention and detection systems, to alert, detect, and block potential incidents.
• Identify emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and technologies, and share insights with industry networks.
• Operate and analyze Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms to correlate logs, events, and alerts.
• Triage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) alerts to prevent sensitive data exfiltration.
• Lead the remediation and closure of cyber security incidents.

Required profile

• Consistently perform prescribed activities with high quality and drive continuous improvement.
• Deep technical knowledge in security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
• Ability to lead or support a team, allocate work, and mentor colleagues.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment based on factual information.
• Commitment to embed new policies, manage risk, and ensure compliance with regulations.
