About the role
BASF’s Coatings division is seeking a Customer Site Service Representative II to support the daily operation of its automotive OEM and refinish coatings at customer assembly plants in Louisville, KY. You will provide on‑site technical expertise, ensure product performance, and help develop strong customer relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Support daily use of BASF coating products in automotive assembly plants.
- Provide on‑site technical and application expertise, including color management and defect identification.
- Enforce product quality and performance specifications and assist with new product/application development.
- Collaborate with BASF sales and technical teams to investigate, analyze, and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain and develop customer relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
- Mentor and coach team members and provide support to other facilities as needed.
Required profile
- Technical background in automotive coatings or related chemical products.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently on‑site and manage multiple priorities.
