About the role
The Coordinator of Outdoor Adventure leads the comprehensive outdoor adventure program at East Texas A&M University, overseeing daily operations, long‑term strategy, and facility management for a range of student recreation activities.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, organize and direct the day‑to‑day operations of the outdoor adventure program.
- Develop long‑term strategy for program growth and student engagement.
- Supervise one graduate assistant and part‑time staff members.
- Manage and maintain facilities including a climbing wall, challenge course and disc‑golf course.
- Ensure safety standards and compliance for all outdoor activities.
- Coordinate events, trips and instructional sessions for students.
Required profile
- Experience supervising staff or graduate assistants in a recreation setting.
- Ability to manage facilities and outdoor equipment.
- Strong organizational and program‑development skills.
