Community Assistant – Student Living

About the role

We are looking for a Community Assistant to support the property management team at Accolade, a student‑living community in Minneapolis. The role focuses on administrative, leasing and resident‑service tasks to help achieve occupancy and retention targets. You will also act as an after‑hours liaison, responding to emergencies and supporting resident satisfaction programs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform office administration such as copying, filing resident files, preparing notices and organizing rent payments.
• Assist with leasing activities: conduct virtual tours, respond to online inquiries, greet and qualify prospects, give property tours and show apartments.
• Generate lease paperwork, organize lease files and support the move‑in/move‑out process, including mandatory “turn” dates.
• Answer incoming calls, schedule prospect appointments and conduct on‑campus marketing outreach.
• Coordinate resident events, distribute newsletters, flyers and notices, and handle after‑hours resident emergencies on a rotating on‑call schedule.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to communicate courteously and promptly.
• Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently.
• Flexibility to work mandatory move‑in/move‑out dates and on‑call shifts.
