About the role
The University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville seeks a full‑time orthopaedic surgeon for an academic faculty position. The appointment will be at the Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, based on experience and qualifications.
Key responsibilities
- Perform general orthopaedic surgical procedures and ambulatory care.
- Provide clinical teaching to residents, fellows, and medical students.
- Engage in research activities supporting the department’s missions.
- Collaborate with clinical sites at Downtown Jacksonville and Durbin Park.
- Report directly to the Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Required profile
- MD or DO degree.
- Completion of an accredited Orthopaedic Surgery residency.
- Board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery.
- Academic qualifications appropriate for the appointed rank.
Required skills
- Orthopaedic surgical techniques.
- Clinical teaching and mentorship.
- Medical research methodology.
