Clinical Orthopaedic Surgeon – Assistant to Full Professor

About the role

The University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville seeks a full‑time orthopaedic surgeon for an academic faculty position. The appointment will be at the Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, based on experience and qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general orthopaedic surgical procedures and ambulatory care.
• Provide clinical teaching to residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Engage in research activities supporting the department’s missions.
• Collaborate with clinical sites at Downtown Jacksonville and Durbin Park.
• Report directly to the Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of an accredited Orthopaedic Surgery residency.
• Board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Academic qualifications appropriate for the appointed rank.
