Business Operations Manager (German/French)

About the role

Whatnot is looking for a Business Operations Manager (German/French) to help scale its international markets and drive growth across product, marketing and finance. This senior role works directly with leadership to lead high‑impact initiatives and turn data‑driven insights into actionable strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional projects that unlock growth in the UK, France, Germany and Canada.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to embed international requirements into scalable solutions.
• Conduct primary research to identify high‑impact opportunities in product, pricing and incentives.
• Own key market metrics, including buyer and seller funnels, growth, marketing spend and margin dynamics.
• Build rigor around marketing capital deployment, channel decisions and hiring road‑maps.
• Analyze margin levers and growth investments, informing pricing and financial recommendations.
• Develop tooling that provides a single source of truth for tracking progress against aggressive goals.
• Collaborate with StratFin and Data teams to ensure a healthy, durable business model.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience solving complex, unstructured problems.
• Proven track record in operations, strategy or growth roles within fast‑moving tech or marketplace environments.
• Fluency in German or French (spoken and written).
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product, engineering, finance and marketing teams.
• Comfort with data‑driven decision making and building scalable processes.
