Business Manager, Strategy & Business Development (IC5)

About the role

Santander is seeking a Business Manager, Strategy & Business Development (IC5) to support senior leaders with performance analysis, problem solving, and strategic recommendations. This role will drive high‑impact projects, conduct comprehensive research, and help shape the bank’s future direction.

Key responsibilities

• Present business performance insights and complex problem analyses to senior leadership.
• Lead and support high‑visibility projects across the organization.
• Conduct financial, market, operational, and demographic research to inform strategic planning.
• Develop economic and sociological forecasts to guide business strategies.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert and mentor for operational functions.
• Coordinate with external agencies and service providers on operational activities and strategic changes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation of new initiatives.
• Maintain system knowledge, track enhancements, and address training needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business analysis, strategy development, or related consulting roles.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage complex, cross‑functional projects with high visibility.
• Mentoring experience and capacity to act as a subject‑matter expert.
