About the role
We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Director to expand the executive education portfolio of Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. The role focuses on driving growth in the Houston market by identifying new corporate opportunities and building strategic partnerships with C‑suite leaders.
Key responsibilities
- Prospect and generate leads among corporations and academic institutions.
- Develop and execute business development plans to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Create tailored proposals, negotiate terms, and close multi‑year contracts.
- Maintain and grow relationships with deans, program managers, and senior executives.
- Represent the Center at conferences and industry events to enhance brand visibility.
- Conduct market and competitive intelligence to inform strategy.
- Collaborate with marketing, program design, and operations teams for seamless delivery.
- Maintain accurate CRM data and produce regular sales forecasts.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education or related field.
- At least ten years of progressive business development experience.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets, preferably in education or professional services.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Data‑driven strategic thinking and analytical skills.
Required skills
- Experience with B2B sales cycles and multi‑year service contracts.
