About the role
The Associate Account Manager joins the Restaurant Success team to nurture relationships with restaurant partners in the SMB segment. You will own a portfolio of restaurants, focusing on retention, engagement, and growth while serving as their primary point of contact.
Key responsibilities
- Prevent merchant attrition by addressing cancellation requests, solving underlying issues, and handling objections.
- Reactivate paused accounts quickly to resume order taking.
- Update contracts, process ownership changes, and assist with legal matters such as fraud.
- Provide marketing support, upsell promotional rates, and educate partners on Grubhub’s product suite.
- Resolve payment, tax, and complex inquiries in coordination with internal teams.
- Maintain accurate account information and meet SLA turnaround expectations.
- Manage a round‑robin queue to address partner issues, answer questions, and update records.
Required profile
- 1‑2 years of customer service experience; experience with restaurant owners is a strong plus.
- Proficient with Windows PC applications and quick to learn new software.
- Strong verbal and written communication; comfortable making outbound calls.
- Excellent problem‑solving, multitasking, and ability to understand multiple products.
- Positive attitude, reliable attendance, team spirit, and flexibility in a fast‑paced environment.

- Zendesk (or similar ticketing system)
- Windows operating system proficiency
