About the role
East Texas A&M University seeks qualified professionals to join its Engineering & Technology department as Adjunct Faculty. This part‑time position involves teaching up to two courses (seven semester credit hours) in disciplines such as Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Technology Management.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, lead discussions, and design assignments for assigned courses.
- Develop and maintain course syllabi that meet departmental and college standards.
- Assess student performance through participation, assignments, examinations, and provide grades.
- Mentor and support students as needed.
- Adapt instruction delivery to on‑campus, off‑campus, or online formats based on demand.
Required profile
- Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching field from an ABET‑accredited U.S. institution, or a terminal degree in the field.
- Specialization in construction engineering, civil engineering, construction management, industrial engineering, systems engineering, engineering management, technology management, or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to teach undergraduate courses in the listed engineering areas.
