Adjunct Faculty – Criminal Justice (Dual Credit)

About the role

Texas A&M University–Commerce is seeking a Dual Credit Adjunct Faculty member to teach Criminal Justice courses within the Dallas ISD Dual Credit P‑Tech program. The position involves delivering face‑to‑face instruction at the university’s Dallas site and supporting students pursuing high‑school credit.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to two Criminal Justice courses (maximum seven semester credit hours) on a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday schedule.
• Develop and manage course syllabi that meet department and college standards.
• Design and deliver lectures, facilitate in‑class discussions, and create assignments.
• Assess student performance through participation, assignments, examinations, and provide grades.
• Mentor and advise students, and maintain communication with parents/guardians.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the department.

Required profile

• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Criminal Justice, or a terminal degree in the field.
• Demonstrated expertise in Criminal Justice subject matter.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
