Underwriting Operations Analyst

About the role

Fetch is seeking an Underwriting Operations Analyst to join its Insurance Operations team. Reporting to the SVP of Insurance Operations, you will support underwriting, compliance, service, and claims functions while gaining deep exposure to the inner workings of a fast‑growing pet‑insurance business.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate response to service escalations, including investigation, referral drafting, approval, and documentation.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of escalations and produce improvement reports.
• Assist cross‑functional teams with training needs, underwriting manuals, SOPs, and operations reporting.
• Screen OFAC and OFSI referrals for the U.S. and Canada and report to the insurance carrier.
• Process underwriting referrals for suspicious claims and execute actions with Platform Operations.
• Conduct monthly Bordereaux reviews and support internal and annual underwriting/claims audits.
• Monitor and process CCPA requests.
• Support regulatory complaint investigations and monitor competitor filing activity.
• Execute ad‑hoc research projects as needed.

Required profile

• Interest in insurance operations and willingness to learn across underwriting, compliance, service, and claims.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to investigate issues and produce actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional coordination.
