Service Technician – Soltra Firewheel (Garland, TX)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to support the Soltra Firewheel property in Garland, Texas. The role focuses on maintaining the physical condition, safety, and functionality of apartments, common areas, and amenities, ensuring a high‑quality living experience for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with mechanical and building systems maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose problems, follow detailed work orders, and complete repairs safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Physical stamina for lifting, climbing, and outdoor work.
• Commitment to safety protocols and teamwork.
