Senior Maintenance Technician – Preston Peak

About the role

The Senior Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of the Preston Peak property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality. This onsite role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, and final inspection of completed work.
• Track and retrieve maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, maintain inventory records, and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep by picking up debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Proven experience in building and property maintenance, preferably in a residential or multifamily setting.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and technical issues and perform repairs safely and efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills for managing work orders, inventory, and vendor coordination.
• Commitment to following safety and risk‑management policies and participating in regular safety meetings.
