VP Financial Controller – North America

About the role

We are seeking a VP Financial Controller to lead finance operations for the North America region of a listed international marketing agency. This senior leader will dive into the details of the general ledger while driving a large‑scale finance transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close and financial reporting for North America, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for the parent company.
• Partner with business partners on revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with US GAAP or IFRS and overhaul legacy processes.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable, and collaborate with AR/Collections to guarantee billing accuracy.
• Own regional cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital optimization.
• Serve as regional lead for migrating multiple legacy ERPs onto a unified global platform.
• Design and implement public‑company‑standard internal controls around transactions and reporting.
• Manage complex intercompany reconciliations and transfer‑pricing execution across global entities.
• Lead a regional team of 20+ finance professionals, including controllers and accountants.

Required profile

• CPA or CA qualification.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a large global advertising, production, or marketing services firm.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS and experience in a publicly traded environment.
• Proven track record of leading ERP migrations and handling granular GL data.
• Hands‑on leader comfortable in fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environments.
