Vice President/Executive Director, LATAM Trading

About the role

The Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) at Santander is seeking a Vice President/Executive Director to lead trading activities across Latin America and the United States. This senior professional will coordinate investor order execution, develop client relationships, and drive business growth in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Control and execute investor orders in LATAM and US equity markets, coordinating with local desks in Brazil, Mexico and Chile.
• Drive growth and retention of existing client relationships while building new ones.
• Provide the full breadth of Santander’s products and services to clients and prospects.
• Lead business development efforts targeting large‑scale clients across the assigned region.
• Research and analyse client and market data to inform trading strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (required).
• 10+ years of experience in trading or a similar field (required).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong relationship management, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of LATAM equity markets.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Analytical and detail‑oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
• Knowledge of the Fidessa OMS system.

What we offer

• Base salary range $250,000 – $300,000 USD per year.
