Vice President of Quality Assurance

About the role

The company is a fast‑growing advanced manufacturing firm developing next‑generation Li‑ion batteries for defense, aerospace and other mission‑critical applications. It seeks a Vice President of Quality Assurance to lead and scale a world‑class quality organization across battery assembly, integration and testing.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a comprehensive quality strategy aligned with business and production goals.
• Build, lead and develop a high‑performing QA/QC team, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain a scalable Quality Management System (QMS) compliant with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
• Lead internal and external audits, regulatory compliance activities, document control and change management.
• Ensure product and process quality across incoming materials, in‑process operations and final testing using Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA and CAPA.
• Drive supplier quality management, qualification, audits and performance monitoring.
• Own product safety and reliability initiatives, leading failure analysis, reliability testing and compliance with UL and IEC standards.
• Implement data‑driven quality analytics, real‑time metrics, dashboards and KPI tracking to support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Senior executive with proven experience building and scaling QA/QC organizations in advanced manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of industry quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001) and safety regulations (UL, IEC).
• Strong track record of leading cross‑functional teams across engineering, operations and supply chain.
• Demonstrated ability to drive Lean, Six Sigma and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
