U.S. Army OB/GYN Nurse (Active Duty or Reserve)

About the role

The U.S. Army is seeking qualified OB/GYN nurses to join its medical team, supporting female service members, their families, and newborns. This position can be served on active duty or in the Army Reserve, offering a blend of clinical care and military service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care.
• Deliver peri‑operative nursing support for surgical procedures.
• Manage care across antepartum, postpartum, labor & delivery, mother‑baby units, and newborn nurseries.
• Participate in OB/GYN clinics, diagnostic services, and community health missions.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to clinical education, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an ACEN, CCNE, or NLN‑accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted RN license.
• U.S. citizenship for active duty or permanent residency for Reserve service.
• Experience practicing as an RN in the United States or its territories.
