Senior Information Systems Officer

About the role

The Senior Information Systems Officer will lead the design and implementation of major ICT infrastructure initiatives within the Operations Support Division, driving digital transformation, resilience and scalable service delivery for the Office of Information and Communications Technology.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualize, develop strategy for, and oversee implementation of large‑scale ICT infrastructure projects.
• Manage multiple concurrent technology projects, including complex system integration and innovative applications.
• Provide authoritative technical and policy advice on data‑center, cloud hosting, network operations, endpoint management and collaboration technologies.
• Lead and mentor a team of information systems officers, plan work assignments and participate in recruitment and training.
• Develop procurement plans, prepare bid documents and coordinate contracts for IT infrastructure.
• Supervise inter‑dependent administrative, financial and HR information systems and negotiate related services.
• Establish performance measures, monitor budgets, and ensure projects meet time, cost and quality standards.
• Set up and oversee IT Service Desk support services.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in managing ICT infrastructure projects and leading technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of data‑center operations, cloud hosting, network and endpoint management.
• Proven ability to develop procurement strategies and negotiate contracts.
• Experience in budgeting, performance monitoring and service‑desk management.
