Senior Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner will act as a strategic advisor to leaders across the Playfly Sports Properties division. Reporting to the Head of People, this role supports employee relations, performance management, talent development, and organizational effectiveness while contributing to the company’s growth and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to identify and close training and development gaps.
• Conduct regular meetings with business units to provide HR guidance.
• Assess training needs and determine appropriate delivery methods, including self‑paced, HRBP‑led, or external vendors.
• Offer day‑to‑day performance management support, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
• Improve work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention through employee engagement initiatives.
• Support succession planning, talent reviews, and the creation of assessment tools.
• Administer employee recognition and engagement programs.
• Assist with employee complaint investigations, policy development, and communications.
• Provide additional HR support to the Head of HR and senior HRBP as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, or PHR certification strongly preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in an HR Business Partner role, emphasizing learning and development and employee relations.
• Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines; sports industry experience is a plus.
• Experience supporting collegiate athletics, university environments, or Title IX considerations is strongly preferred.
