Mechanical Engineer – Completion Products

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer – Completion Products will design, develop, and validate downhole completion tools for oil and gas wells. Working from our Houston office, you will use SolidWorks to create robust, field‑ready solutions that meet high‑pressure, high‑temperature (HPHT) requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop downhole completion products such as packers, tubing accessories, liner hangers, sleeves, and smart completion components.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings in SolidWorks following engineering standards.
• Modify and improve existing tools to satisfy new functional, pressure, temperature, or customer specifications.
• Support and interpret finite element analysis (FEA) and stress analysis results for HPHT environments.
• Ensure designs meet mechanical integrity criteria for shock, vibration, pressure cycling, and fatigue.
• Participate in prototype build, qualification, and validation testing.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of downhole completion product functionality and HPHT conditions.
• Familiarity with industry standards for oil‑ and‑gas completion tools.
• Ability to collaborate with manufacturing, testing, and cross‑functional engineering teams.

Required skills

• SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, 2D detailing).
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and stress analysis.
