Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer will drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives at our Shawnee facility. You will lead safety programs, ensure product and process quality, and collaborate across departments to create efficient, sustainable production processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, purchase, build, implement, train on, and maintain custom tooling using SolidWorks, CAMWorks, and external vendors.
• Develop facility layouts for new and existing products to meet volume requirements within existing space.
• Create, maintain, and improve SOPs that reduce cycle times and eliminate waste.
• Manage tooling implementation schedules and overall project timelines.
• Respond to line-down events, perform repairs, and restore assembly lines to normal production.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to keep equipment operational and minimize downtime.
• Document time studies, establish assembly line balances, and implement repeatable heartbeat times.
• Assess product conformance, facilitate quality audits, and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Certified SolidWorks Associate or equivalent certification.
• Proficiency with Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Gmail).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
