Maintenance Technician – The Park at Walnut Ridge

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of The Park at Walnut Ridge – including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment by tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials and tools efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Ability to perform technical and mechanical work on building systems and amenities.
• Strong diagnostic skills to identify the source of defects or problems.
• Attention to detail in completing inspections, documentation, and inventory tracking.
• Commitment to following established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
