Maintenance Technician – Lease-Up High-Rise

About the role

We are seeking an entry‑level Maintenance Technician to support a high‑rise lease‑up property in Santa Clara. The role ensures that apartments, common areas and amenities meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates with relatable experience in building or property maintenance.
• Willingness to work weekends and be on‑call as needed.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, codes and company policies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete documentation accurately.
