Maintenance Mechanic – Industrial Facility

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic supports production and facility operations at John Soules Foods’ Tyler, TX plant. You will ensure all machinery, equipment, and work areas are kept in good working order while adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machinery, building systems, and grounds.
• Identify, report, and assist in correcting defective materials or unsafe conditions.
• Execute lockout/tagout procedures for equipment servicing.
• Collaborate with internal teams and outside contractors to complete maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or technical school education.
• Minimum 3 years experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, with excellent attendance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team‑oriented setting.

Required skills

• Experience with 480 V 3‑phase electrical equipment.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshooting of 24 V DC control systems.
