Lithium‑Ion Battery Engineer – Naval Surface Warfare Center Support

About the role

Green Expert Technology Inc. (GreenXT) is looking for a Lithium‑Ion Battery (LB) Engineer to provide technical support for the Lithium‑Ion Battery Facility (LBF) within the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division. The role focuses on design, testing, documentation, and training for battery components and related systems supporting Navy operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Li‑Ion battery components and subsystems.
• Perform testing analyses, including environmental qualification reports and technical analyses of the Fire Detection and Actuation System (FDAS).
• Implement Standard Operating Procedures, ship change documents, technical manuals, Planned Maintenance Schedules, and operating procedures.
• Develop and coordinate performance metrics and training packages.
• Provide technical guidance for future FDAS and LBF component implementations.
• Review locker drawing documentation, assess locker modifications, and conduct in‑service/manufacturer locker inspections.
• Prepare locker inspection reports.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one before start.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, chemical, mechanical engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline from an accredited institution.
