Junior Full Stack Developer – Frontend Focus

About the role

BAM Weather (BAMWX) is seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer with a strong frontend focus to join its fast‑growing team. The position is primarily remote, but candidates must reside in Indiana to attend occasional in‑person planning sessions and team events.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain user‑facing features for web and mobile applications.
• Use React.js and React Native to create responsive, mobile‑first experiences.
• Assist with backend development, including API integration and database‑driven functionality.
• Write and optimise SQL queries and work with relational databases.
• Collaborate with product managers, meteorologists, and UI/UX designers on new feature development.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and architecture discussions to improve performance, usability, and reliability.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of software development experience.
• Hands‑on experience with React.js and React Native.
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
• Basic understanding of full‑stack application architecture.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Must be located in Indiana.
