IT Security Analyst – Tier 1 (Evening/Overnight)

About the role

Join Digital Hands as a Tier 1 IT Security Analyst in Tampa, FL. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling security alerts and incidents during evening or overnight shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound support calls and create or remediate incident tickets via the service management platform.
• Monitor health and availability alerts from monitoring tools and respond to customer emails and queries.
• Tri­age security alerts based on severity, run analytical queries in multiple SIEM platforms, and investigate endpoint security data.
• Reference open‑source threat intelligence to identify malicious activity and implement firewall blocks.
• Perform scheduled checks of network infrastructure and security appliances (SEOG/NEOG).
• Communicate findings and actions to customers via email and telephone.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified) or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of desktops, servers, networking, and security concepts.
• Availability for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts in a call‑center environment.

Required skills

• Experience with firewalls, IPS/IDS, and host‑based security tools.
• Proficiency in using SIEM platforms and running analytical queries.
• Knowledge of threat‑intelligence sources and open‑source research.
• Ability to perform network infrastructure and security appliance checks.
• Incident ticketing and service‑management platform usage.
