HR Generalist – Marketing & Communications

About the role

The HR Generalist Marketing & Communications provides comprehensive human‑resources services across employee relations, compensation, talent management, benefits, payroll, staff development and recruiting. Partnering with the MAC HR team, the role serves as the primary front‑line HR contact for staff and managers, handling day‑to‑day inquiries and transactional support.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain staff actions and audit records in Workday and ensure compliance with employment requirements.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including preparation of employment agreements and hiring paperwork.
• Generate and analyse HR reports and dashboards to identify trends and measure progress.
• Assist recruiters and hiring managers with resume reviews, interview scheduling, data tracking and process guidance.
• Administer benefits, leave, location changes, personal moves and home‑office updates.
• Respond promptly to internal and external HR inquiries.
• Support training, development opportunities and employee‑engagement initiatives.
• Deliver general HR communications, updates and reminders.
• Partner with AO Central Functions HR team and People Team centers of excellence on shared projects.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel and organizational information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or at least three years of HR‑related experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Proven experience responding to HR questions from employees and managers.
• Experience with database management, spreadsheet software, report construction and data analysis.
• Familiarity with MS Office, HR information systems and analytics tools.
