About the role

HEI is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead heavy road and bridge construction projects across its U.S. operations. The role involves overseeing all phases from award to completion while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full project lifecycle for heavy road and bridge works, from award through close‑out.
• Supervise budgets, schedules, forecasts and enforce cost control measures.
• Review, negotiate and recommend change orders, and track all key project documents (submittals, RFIs, invoices, permits, etc.).
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules to meet deadlines and budget targets.
• Coordinate with superintendents on labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors and sequencing.
• Monitor daily costs, quantities, production, quality and progress.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, OSHA regulations and environmental standards.
• Resolve issues related to cost, schedule, quality and constructability.
• Conduct regular update meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, owners and stakeholders.
• Prepare weekly cost projections and reports.
• Oversee bridge construction activities including structural concrete, deep foundations, retaining walls and drainage structures.
• Review bridge plans and specifications for constructability and coordinate inspections and testing.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing bridge and heavy road construction projects.
• Strong ability to control budgets, schedules and change orders.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and environmental compliance.
• Effective coordination with superintendents, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for cost, schedule and quality challenges.
