General Production Operator

About the role

Flowers Foods, a leading producer of packaged bakery goods, is seeking a General Production Operator to join its manufacturing team. The role involves operating automated equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Follow production schedules and job assignments, rotating across tasks as needed.
• Operate and monitor mixers, dough pumps, pocket dividers, rounders, and overhead proofers.
• Scale ingredients, load and unload equipment, and verify scaling weights.
• Perform start‑up, shut‑down, sanitation, and preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Identify and diagnose equipment failures, reporting issues to maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to safety and company policies.

• Flexibility to rotate between different production stations.
• Ability to make real‑time production decisions regarding equipment operation.
