About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking an EKG Technician to join its Cardiology Clinic in Little Rock. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports the delivery of high‑quality cardiac diagnostic services within a collaborative, patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrocardiogram (EKG/ECG) recordings for patients according to established protocols.
• Prepare patients, ensure proper electrode placement, and verify equipment functionality.
• Maintain accurate patient records and transmit results to the cardiology team promptly.
• Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and basic troubleshooting of EKG equipment.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and privacy standards at all times.

Required profile

• Current eligibility to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or training in EKG technology preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical procedures accurately.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating EKG machines and related software.
