Designer I – Women’s Outlet Knit Apparel

About the role

The Designer, Women’s Outlet Knit Apparel is a key execution partner who translates global design direction into commercially viable products for the North America market. You will bring pre‑selected seasonal concepts to market, adapt existing styles, manage product updates, and ensure design accuracy throughout development.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret seasonal concept, color, and key item direction with senior design leadership.
• Create cohesive product groups, applying color theory, material knowledge, and garment construction for cut‑and‑sew and heavyweight knits.
• Coordinate with merchandising, technical design, and product development to obtain samples, artwork, and cost data.
• Produce detailed technical drawings, tech packs, and accurate BOMs in PLM (Centric).
• Manage CAD files, artwork updates, and virtual presentation tools (e.g., Visulon) to ensure style and color consistency.
• Participate in fittings, review lab dips, handlooms, wash panels, and PP samples, and document feedback.
• Maintain alignment with calendar milestones and proactively resolve delays.
• Prepare and present design boards and product reviews to leadership.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of cut‑and‑sew knit design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Sciences or equivalent.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PLM systems (Centric).
• Technical drawing and tech‑pack creation.
• CAD and Visulon virtual presentation tools.
• Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
