Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

The Cyber Security Specialist will join the Global Headquarters Information Security team of a leading apparel and retail organization. Based in New York City, the role works in a hybrid model and supports the Global Security Operations Center, focusing on monitoring, incident response, and continuous security improvement across e‑commerce, enterprise, and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, manage and continuously improve security technologies such as WAF, anti‑bot, email and web security, and endpoint protection.
• Deploy and enhance insider‑threat prevention tools including DLP, CASB and data security platforms.
• Build, maintain and optimise centralized log monitoring infrastructure and detection content.
• Plan and execute security assessments, coordinate penetration testing and run cyber‑attack simulation exercises.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, drive remediation and long‑term security improvements.
• Support broader enterprise risk management and information‑security initiatives as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 4–7+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, cyber‑threat intelligence or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of incident‑response methodologies, security investigations and SOC operations.
• Experience working in complex enterprise and cloud‑based (IaaS) environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, global setting.
