About the role
AKA NYC is seeking a Designer to join its creative team in New York. The role supports a variety of entertainment, arts and cultural clients, creating visual solutions that engage audiences across digital, print, experiential and motion platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Develop compelling visual concepts for multiple campaigns and clients.
- Collaborate with Creative Directors and Art Directors to translate ideas into design assets.
- Produce designs for digital, social, print, experiential installations and motion pieces.
- Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions and support concept development.
- Work with strategy, media, client services and production teams to ensure brand consistency.
- Prepare organized, production‑ready files while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Required profile
- 1‑3 years of design experience in an agency, studio, entertainment or media environment.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating typography, branding, campaign work and multi‑platform execution.
- Passion for entertainment, theatre, arts, culture and live experiences.
- Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills in a fast‑paced setting.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- Familiarity with Adobe After Effects, motion design or presentation design.
- Experience using Figma for UI/UX or design collaboration.
- Knowledge of project‑management tools such as Asana.
What we offer
- Salary range $55,000 – $75,000 per year.
