About the role
We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to drive operational performance for a manufacturing client in Northeast Philadelphia. The role will apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to enhance efficiency, quality, safety and reduce costs, working closely with leaders across functions.
Key responsibilities
- Direct improvement programs that support business goals and long‑range operational priorities across the manufacturing organization.
- Mentor team leaders and departmental partners on Lean methods, Six Sigma practices, root‑cause investigation, and practical problem‑solving techniques.
- Lead Kaizen workshops and related initiatives to increase throughput, improve product quality, enhance workplace safety, and streamline processes.
- Review production and performance data to uncover opportunities, confirm underlying issues, and guide informed decision‑making.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to build continuous improvement capability and maintain ownership for measurable outcomes.
- Reinforce effective use of quality management processes within improvement work and keep stakeholders informed throughout implementation.
- Monitor project milestones, savings, and performance indicators, then communicate progress and results to leadership.
- Support long‑term sustainment by auditing key metrics, confirming realized benefits, and encouraging adherence to established standard work.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence through training, coaching, and ongoing promotion of Lean thinking and continuous learning.
- Apply change‑management approaches to encourage alignment, support adoption, and improve the success of implemented initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 5 years of experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, Lean, or Six Sigma within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated success leading process improvement efforts using Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred; Black Belt credentials viewed favorably.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 15%.
