About the role
The Community Support Specialist supports Greystar’s financial operations for a portfolio of residential communities. Working from the corporate office in Memphis, the specialist handles accounting, bookkeeping, and resident/vendor financial interactions to ensure accurate financial reporting and revenue optimization.
Key responsibilities
- Process onsite operational expenses, reconcile work performed, confirm receipt of goods, and code expenses to the appropriate Chart of Accounts.
- Communicate with vendors, contractors, accounting teams, and property owners to facilitate timely payments.
- Interact with residents regarding account balances, collect delinquent payments, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
- Assist with legal processes for regaining possession of apartments, including notice requirements and coordination with legal counsel.
- Prepare final accounting procedures, ensure accurate billing, and minimize liability for community damages.
Required profile
- Experience in accounting or bookkeeping within property management or real‑estate environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile financial data accurately.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of lease enforcement and basic legal documentation processes.
