About the role
The Assurance Senior will lead and coordinate audit engagements, overseeing planning, fieldwork and finalization. This role serves as the primary client contact for routine inquiries and ensures high‑quality financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, execute and wrap‑up audit engagements, including preparation of financial statements with disclosures.
- Document, test and assess the design and operating effectiveness of clients’ internal control systems.
- Identify control weaknesses, recommend improvements and communicate findings to clients.
- Review and supervise the work of junior audit staff.
- Interpret and apply GAAP, SEC and PCAOB regulations, including Section 404 internal control audits.
- Prepare communications for audit committees and client management.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SEC filings and PCAOB audit standards.
- Experience conducting internal control audits and preparing complex financial statements.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex accounting issues.
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and team coaching.
