About the role
The College of Nursing at Prairie View A&M University seeks an Assistant Professor to join its undergraduate nursing program. This faculty position involves teaching, curriculum development, and scholarly research in a collaborative academic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement program curricula, including classroom and clinical learning activities.
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate course offerings and clinical practice courses.
- Serve on university committees, task forces, and the CON Faculty Organization.
- Maintain an annual faculty performance portfolio documenting teaching effectiveness, scholarship, and service.
- Lead a defined research program, secure collaborations, and disseminate findings through publications and presentations.
- Provide academic advising and research mentorship to students and faculty.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree in Nursing.
- PhD or equivalent doctorate in a nursing specialization from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated teaching experience, including clinical practice instruction.
- Current or eligible Texas RN licensure.
