Web Program Specialist – University Web Services

About the role

The Web Program Specialist will be the primary liaison for colleges, departments, faculty, and staff who maintain a digital presence for Tarleton State University. Working closely with the manager of web applications, this role ensures the health, consistency, and strategic direction of the university’s web ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for web‑related projects across all university units.
• Support and maintain the overall health of the university’s web presence, including performance, accessibility, and compliance.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise in digital information architecture, web design, website maintenance, and marketing strategy.
• Collaborate with the web applications team to implement enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless integration of new features.
• Develop and enforce web standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Monitor analytics and user feedback to continuously improve the digital experience.

Required profile

• Experience working in web services within a higher‑education environment.
• Strong communication skills to interact with diverse academic and administrative stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of web standards, accessibility guidelines, and security best practices.
